Schedule Builder is a tool to help students visualize their schedules before enrolling
in classes and select, if desired, preferences to map schedules based on individual
needs like where to take a class or preferred times. You can build your own schedule
manually or have the system create a set number of visual schedules to review.
Please log into
mydegreeaudit.unt.edu and select “Schedules” to access the Schedule Builder. Students can also access Schedule
Builder via their
myUNT portal.
No, you can choose courses and register directly through
myUNT by choosing “Class Search and Enroll”. However, you can leverage both
myUNT and Schedule Builder throughout the registration process by directly registering
for some class sections in
myUNT then using Schedule Builder to visually map out the schedule options for all other
classes. Instructions can be found on the
Registrar’s website.
Yes, if you decide to create your own schedule, you can search course by course to
select and add sections you wish to take and visualize your schedule.
No, you can choose which preferences to take advantage of and have the option at the
bottom of the screen to reset preferences to their default settings. Please be aware
that having too many preferences may limit the number of schedule options available
to you or may result in the inability to build a schedule.
Other than “Busy Times,” preferences in Schedule Builder are not guaranteed. The system
will do its best to honor preferences, but based on the courses that you select, it
may not be able to honor them all. The system attempts to build schedules that consider
as many of your preferences while ensuring the schedule includes the courses you selected
as those you need.
Yes, when you are ready to have the system auto-generate schedules for you, use the
drop-down menu to select the number of schedules the system will create for you. The
system may not be able to create as many schedules as you desire depending on the
number or preferences you chose.
Yes, but additional steps may be needed to select sections based on how the courses
are linked. Some lectures require particular labs or recitations, while others allow
you to pick one from many sections. Others have many lecture options to pair with
many labs/recitations. Therefore, to build a schedule for these within Schedule Builder
it is best to find the combination that works best for you by reviewing the schedule
of classes and manually building the specific sections in your visual schedule.
You can also choose to register for these unique section combinations directly in
myUNT and complete the rest of your schedule in Schedule Builder.
For additional information, please refer to the Schedule Builder documentation and video on the Registrar’s website.
The tool allows you to build a schedule to best meet your needs based on course availability
and preferences. To complete registration, you must push the courses to your shopping
cart then register from your cart in
myUNT.
You must make your preferred schedule your “Primary” schedule. Once registration is
open for the term, you will be able to push your schedule to your shopping cart. When
your registration window is open, you will use
myUNT to complete your registration.

Schedule Builder is a tool that allows you to build visual schedules, allowing for
preferences. Registration occurs through the official student record system’s portal,
myUNT. If a class on your schedule in Schedule Builder is “Pushed to Cart” or “Enrolled”
you will need to use
myUNT to either drop the section or remove it from your shopping cart before you can make
any changes in Schedule Builder.
These courses are not visible in Schedule Builder because of course set up. You should
use the course search in
myUNT to find the section number of the special problems course or get the section number
of the zero-credit course from your advisor. To register for the appropriate section,
use the ”Class Search and Enroll” function in
myUNT. Once you are registered for the class, it will be visible in Schedule Builder so
that you can build the rest of your schedule.
